Pre-dinner blood sugar: 195
Breakfast: Turkey sandwich
Lunch: Grilled cheese, chicken noodle soup, and apple slices (1/2 an apple)
Dinner: Shake N Bake chicken, couscous, and broccoli
Yep, you read my meal for breakfast right. Why? Because we only had so many waffles for 3 people, and of course they’re chocolate chip, so everyone of course wants them. And for whatever reason, they tend to raise my blood sugar up a little more than the average food serving around that carbohydrate level. And I wanted a turkey sandwich.
It was a lazy day, even though it would have been a great opportunity to get the household moving, but I think we all needed it. I’m not too mad about my Steelers loosing; if they won everything, watching pro football would get boring pretty darn quick for me, and even I’ll admit there were some calls that should have been made against the best team ever but didn’t (from what little bit I got to see).
Looking forward to tomorrow, the first Meatless Monday for my household!
